It was patched by Microsoft in May 2019.<\/p>\n<p>![BlueKeep RDP Vulnerability](data:image\/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAEAAAABCAQAAAC1HAwCAAAAC0lEQVR42mP8Xw8AAoMBgDTD2qgAAAAASUVORK5CYII=)<\/p>\n<p>Another initial access vector adopted by the threat actor is the use of phishing mails embedding files that trigger another known Equation Editor vulnerability (CVE-2017-11882, CVSS score: 7.8).<\/p>\n<p>Once access is gained, the attackers proceed to leverage a dropper to install a malware strain dubbed MySpy and a RDPWrap tool referred to as RDPWrap, in addition to changing system settings to allow RDP access.
